Images

A texturing exercise I did, I ended up liking it so I kept it.

A sunset scene I rendered using the new features in Lightwave 5.6 for a one-month anniversary card for my girlfriend.

An abstract face I created by experimenting in Photoshop.

My submission to the first annual Imation Computer Art Competition.

Another rendering of the office scene, this time from the point of view of a chess board on the other side of the room.

An earlier version of the chess scene.

An AC Cobra, one of my most complex models to date (~100,000 polys). Modeled with Metanurbs (subdivision surfaces) in Lightwave 5.6

A tunnel scene I created using my car model. I was inspired by some renderings I saw on newtek's site at the time.

Another rendering of the X-Wing. The terrain was again rendered in Bryce 2 and then composited with the X-Wing in Lightwave. The laser fire was done in post.

Death Star approach sequence still

After seeing Star Wars: Special Edition I was inspired to try to recreate the Death Star X-Wing approach sequence. This is the still image I created.

Animations

An early ocean animation test I did.

Combining my ocean animation with my previously created X-Wing model.

After seeing Forest Gump, I was inspired to try to create my own insane ping-pong match. So my friend Eric Froemling and I filmed ourselves playing without a ball, and I added the ping-pong ball in post.

My attempt at creating a mock company intro-sequence for a movie.

A mock car commercial I created using my car model. Modeling/rendering done in Lightwave 5.6, the color-transitions were created in After Effects.

Death Star approach sequence animation

The whole Star Wars: Special Edition inspired Death Star approach sequence animation.

A fun little light saber duel that my friend Eric Froemling and I filmed, with CG lightsabers added using Lightwave.
