The lambda shuttle was the first major model I created in Lightwave 3D. I was using Lightwave 4.0 at the time.

I bought an Ertel model of the shuttle and used that as reference. Another shot of my Lambda shuttle.

My first real "scene" in Lightwave 3D using my Lambda shuttle. The explosion was made using a crumpled up sphere with fractal noise and a lens flare.

My next model was an X-Wing. These are some of my earliest shots with this model.

I also bought an model version of this vehicle for use as reference.

Another early shot of the X-Wing. I used Bryce 2 to create the terrain and composited the motion blurred X-Wing over it in Lightwave.

I then created a TIE Fighter, my first model without a physical reference.

Creating other varients of the TIE Fighter was easy. Here is a TIE Interceptor.

And this is a TIE Destroyer (IIRC).

An early composite of the TIE Fighter. I got the galaxy picture off of the web somewhere at the time.

First experiements making laser fire, done in Photoshop using a few layers of blurred lines.

My first ocean rendering with a group of TIE Fighters flying over it.

My next goal was to model an A-Wing. Again, the background was rendered in Bryce.

I played a lot of X-Wing Collectors CD which inspired me to try to model the freighter which is used throughout the game.

Just a fun little in-cockpit view of a TIE Fighter chasing one of my X-Wings. The cockpit forground was blatently stolen from screenshots of the TIE Fighter game.

Next I tried my hands at modeling a Star Destroyer.

A little battle scene I whipped up with the models I had already created. Laser fire created in photoshop.

Another battle scene.
