Tunç is a post-doctoral researcher at Disney Research Zürich with the Advanced Video Technology Group. He holds a Ph.D. degree from Max-Planck-Institut für Informatik, where he worked as a research associate in the Computer Graphics Department from 2006-2011. His doctoral work on Human Visual System Models in Computer Graphics has been supervised by Karol Myszkowski and Hans-Peter Seidel. He received his M.S. degree in Computer Science from the College of Computing at Georgia Institute of Technology, and his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Istanbul Teknik Üniversitesi.
Tunç's main research interest is the human visual system. His work focuses on building practical models based on physiological findings and psychophysical experiments, and applying these models to a variety of computer graphics and vision problems. He regularly acts as a reviewer for major conferences and journals. More recently he served as a committee member in APGV 2011, and a paper's chair in Eurographics 2011 HDR Area Program. See his CV and LinkedIn for further information.
