Biosketch

Tunç is a Research Scientist at Disney Research Zürich. He holds a Ph.D. degree from Max-Planck-Institut für Informatik, where he worked as a research associate in the Computer Graphics Department from 2006-2011. His doctoral work on Human Visual System Models in Computer Graphics has been supervised by Karol Myszkowski and Hans-Peter Seidel, and received the Eurographics PhD award 2012. He obtained his M.S. degree in Computer Science from the College of Computing at Georgia Institute of Technology, and his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Istanbul Teknik Üniversitesi.

Tunç's research interests have been developing image and video post-processing technologies that help creatives to realize their artistic vision, and understanding and automatically evaluating what makes visual content high quality and aesthetically pleasing.
